  • The TABAC ORIGINAL shaving soap is a legend in the traditional wet shaving community. Some argue that it's the best shaving soap ever made offering optimal slickness and protection from it's luxurious lather. Still made in Stolberg, Rhineland, Germany, this shaving soap is a must try for every traditional wet shaver. The soap is a 125 gram puck and come in the original TABAC bowl. I would describe the scent of Tabac as powdery tobacco flower and leather, with a backdrop of cologne-y musk. Definitely a scent that is very masculine and very polarizing, you will probably either love it or hate it. TABAC is designed to be used with a traditional shaving brush, if you are new to the wet shaving world, I would highly recommend trying a RazoRock Plissoft shaving brush, our best sellers. Both the outer box and foil wrapping are fully recyclable.

    Thick lather, great post-shave feel

    First time using this soap. The bowl it comes in is weighty and handsome. The puck itself is hard so I cut a sliver into my shaving bowl and used a brush to make the lather there. Even though our water is hard, it easily made great thick lather. Post shave feel was incredible; I almost didn’t want to use toner or aftershave. As for the scent, it is very strong in the jar - I would even say too strong for my tastes - but it became far milder once you make the lather and I found it pleasant, so don’t be discouraged by the initial whiff if its strength concerns you. Will rebuy.

    Great shaving soap

    The shaving performance of Tabac is excellent and the glass bowl that's included is really nice. I'm giving it 4 stars because I'm personally not a big fan of the scent, it's strong and perfumey. Nonetheless, I would recommend this product, you will get a great shave. It's very slick, and the post-shave feel is really nice.

    This is one of the best soaps I've tried. The scent is a big strong but fuggetaboutit. Thick and creamy lather can't go wrong with this one.
