I'm a newbie and I bought a bunch of blades to try out. I got good results from Vi-John Super Platinums but they weren't quite the blade for me and I loved Feather blades but I worried about cutting myself though I never did. Then I tried these. For my skin and beard and my razor, a RazoRock Quick Change, these are as close to perfect as I think I can get. I have slightly sensitive skin and I get a three pass BBS with Lord Platinum blades without a hint of irritation. I get nothing but a nice, calm, relaxing shave. I think they're worth a try, if you're considering what to buy.
