I’ve been a slant head razor wet shaver for a number of years, enjoying the efficiency of these razors, which for me minimizes the number of passes/buffing and limits opportunities for razor burn. Recently my work schedule changed, which impacts on my shaving routine, sometimes 2-3 days between shaves and daily at other times. While the slant heads are more than capable of dealing with my 2–3 day old beard, I was in the mood to try a razor that allowed me to adjust the aggressiveness of the shave, and I decided to try the 6S. So far I’ve been very pleased with my shaving results, using a 4-5 plate for older beard growth, then finishing with a #2 plate for my second and or third passes, with no burn and nice smooth skin . Some may feel that’s too much effort to change the base plate in the middle of a shave, but the #4 flips to a #2 in seconds, and I don’t mind the minimal effort that entails. The fit and finish on the razor are very nice. The only minor annoyance is that in putting together the three pieces, threading the handle on to the plates seems to require more attention than any of my other three piece razors require to seat the handle on to the threads. This is minor and wouldn’t give me any pause about purchasing this razor again.
