    Astra Superior Platinum double-edge blades are made by The Gillette Company in their St. Petersburg, Russia blade plant.  Originally they were produced in the Czech Republic but after Gillette purchased the company, production was moved to their premier blade producing facility.  These blades offer an excellent combination of smoothness, sharpness and longevity and are sure to become a favorite.  They will fit all modern double-edge razors.

    Wet shave newbie

    I'm a brand new wet shaver. I bought these blades upon recommendation of a friend. They shave well and seem to hold a decent edge after 2-3 shaves. I give them 4 stars only because I don't yet know enough to give a perfect score. They're priced well, they seem to shave well, and they're easy to dispose of.

    These are the blade that I was lucky enough to start DE shaving with. They are smooth shaving and consistently good. I feel like these blades hit the sweet spot that would satisfy just about everyone.
