  • RazoRock Stainless Steel Lupo 127 Base Plate ONLY OPTION

**NOTE: YOU ARE PURCHASING ONLY THE LUPO 127 BASE PLATE.  YOU WILL ONLY RECEIVE THE BASE PLATE THEREFORE YOU NEED TO ALREADY OWN A LUPO TOP CAP.**

The Lupo 127 is the newest addition to the Lupo range and is the most aggressive version in the group.  Many customers have been asking for a more aggressive option which is efficient and we think we have delivered with the new Lupo 127.  The original RazoRock Lupo was such a hit with our clients that we decided it was time to create a "gen two" version milled from marine-grade stainless steel. We listened to your feedback from the aluminum Lupo and took it to the design board to come up with a razor that is even better! The three most popular suggestions were; a) You wanted the razor to be able to rest on the side of its head while still keeping the guard width the same as the width of the blade for excellent maneuverability; b) You wanted more optionality in terms of aggression, and; c) Many of you suggested a scalloped bar would add a nice aesthetic touch!

We delivered on all three suggestions and now the RazoRock SS Lupo is NOW available in SEVEN different versions,

    1. Lupo 58 - a 0.58 mm safety bar
    2. Lupo 72 - a 0.72 mm safety bar
    3. Lupo OPEN COMB 72 - a 0.72 mm Open Comb for those seeking a lot more aggression and efficiency - Same gap and exposure as Safety Bar 72 but will be slightly more aggressive due to the Open Comb design
    4. Lupo 95 - a 0.95 mm safety bar for those seeking a lot more aggression and efficiency
    5. Lupo OPEN COMB 95 - a 0.95 mm Open Comb for those seeking a lot more aggression and efficiency - Same gap and exposure as Safety Bar 95 but will be slightly more aggressive due to the Open Comb design
    6. Lupo DC - a 0.72/0.95 dual-comb version which offers a medium-aggressive open comb side and a more aggressive safety bar side.
    7. Lupo 127 - a 1.27 mm safety bar for those seeking a lot more aggression and efficiency

        Blade Gap: 1.27 mm

        Blade Exposure: Positive

Material: 316L Marine Grade Stainless Steel

        Build: Fully CNC machined

Finish: 3 stage, 24 hour, machine vibratory finish. It's important to note that our finish is designed to de-burr and make the pieces smooth with minimum effect on machining tolerances. It's a tool-like finish and not a mirror-type high polish; each piece is unique (no two pieces will be identical). We don't believe in hand polishing our machined safety razors because it's self-defeating. We spend so much time and effort getting the tolerances tight, a hand polish will just ruin these tolerances. We would rather give you a quality tool-like finish at a great price and leave it up to you if you want to put a jewelry type polish or gun-kote at the razor later at additional cost.

Other Details: Each razor is engraved with a unique serial number.

Lupo is already my favorite smooth, easy to use razor. With the advent of the "127" plate, it has become one of my most efficient razors also. Still being smooth and easy to use, the efficiency has been multiplied which puts it into my 2 pass "BBS" razor category. Very pleased with this purchase and I recommend all of the RAZOROC razors to others.

        Smooth

This base plate is great! Minor nick once in awhile, but two-pass shave ATG first is all it takes.

        Smooth and Efficient

This is the base plate I chose for a couple days growth. It's smooth for the amount it removes in one pass, with just enough blade feel to let you know how the shave is going. The lupo is a great razor all around, and this plate has made it better.

        Lupo 127 plate

The number might look intimidating, but it's smooth and efficient. If this is your first razor, start with a milder plate and work your way up. The 58 would be great for a beginner or as a daily shave. This one can be used daily, but only if you have your technique on point. A great shave can be achieved with this plate.

Lupo 127 smooth and aggressive, highly recommended

I have always liked aggressive razors (not all some are way to harsh) and the feel of a blade. I will list some of the razors in my daily rotation, CG series 1 L3 DC, Wolfman 96 DC, Razorock Jaws, Asylum Rx v2 (pro-blade), British Streamline (Gem), Gillette Old Style 1918 Army J series. BBS1 with a shim, Gibs 15 modified (I put in blade taps to hold the blade in place). For most of my razors I usually change out the handles for ones that give me a better balance, and the blades I use are Polsilver (Russian and Polish), Wizamet Super Iridium, London Bridge.

You don’t have to spend a car payment to get a beautiful razor. The Lupo 127 is a good example of this. I received an email from Italian Barber about the Lupo 127. I use Jaws and wanted to add another razor to my rotation, so I purchased the 127 and was delighted in the shave to the point that I have added the Lupo 127 to my rotation.

I shave in 4 different directions for a BBS, the 127 was efficient in all directions to where the feedback was almost nonexistent. I have found this razor to be a very smooth aggressive razor, leaving me with no irritation or weepers (I will only get weepers when I pay no attention or when I forget to close down the head). To get the balance I wanted I paired the head with a Stork SS Darwin 90, which gives me excellent balance and wonderful aesthetics, as well as a good grip as I rotate the handle in my wet hand as I shave. For me this is a beautiful shaver and would recommend it to anyone that likes aggressive razors.
