Omega 50014 - Badger Imitation - 100% Boar Bristle Shaving Brush

It’s not the smallest brush around but if you have room in your Dopp kit it’s nice. Medium backbone and density. Wet it and go. Produces a moderate amount of lather, not as much as a synthetic but will be a bit thicker in density with the water being absorbed by the boar hair and with no scritch with good scrub. Not really sure why travel brushes are oftentimes bigger than a regular brush.

If you are looking for a brush to throw in your toiletry bag, this is it! I have had it for about a year now. I go to the gym early so I show and shave there nearly every morning. This brush and case is just what I was looking for. It broke in quickly and I have not been disappointed. Only thing I would suggest is to remove it from its case when possible so it drys properly. I do this every morning upon returning home. GREAT brush I would recommend.

This is a great brush I’m kicking myself for not picking up two of these. No funk, very easy to break in and quite soft on the face. Performance is great. You will love this one.

I expected a good brush for an Omega, but was surprised at the brush itself for this price point. Great value.

Good design and size. Not too small. I like how it comes together although the tube doesn't lock down--it just clicks into place. Just a small amount of jostling inside your Dopp kit will slide the tube down and expose the bristles. It would be nice if the sleeve threaded into place.

The price is inexpensive so you won't be too sad if you accidentally leave it in the hotel bathroom.

The only thing I don't like about the brush is that it has a boar knot. It's a good boar knot for sure. Mine broke in and softened up quickly. It lathers well and feels good on the skin. So, as far as boar knots go, it's pretty good.

But it takes forever to dry. And you don't want to keep a wet boar brush wrapped up in your bag for a long time. I wish it had a nice synthetic knot that didn't take so long to dry. If I use it on the road I have to make sure to pull it out of the kit and dry it out when I get home.
