  • RazoRock Natural Boar Bristle Shaving Brush - with Olive Wood 506 Handle

For decades, boar bristle shaving brushes have been the choice of master barbers in Italy, and for good reason.  Boar bristle shaving brushes are both effective at creating good lather and inexpensive, they won't break your wallet.  Once broken-in the tips become just as soft as premium badger hair.  The key with boar bristle brushes is to give them a good soak before use, this allows the bristles to become hydrated and pliable and prevents them from breaking.  The one downfall of standard boar bristle brushes is the break-in period can be fairly long, anywhere from 20-30 uses. During the break-in period, boar bristle brushes can have a noticeable "funk" to them and the bristles will be a little scratchy at the beginning until the ends of the bristle begin to split with use.

Once again RazoRock has worked hard to bring you both innovation and value.  Our RazoRock Blondie boar bristle shaving brush uses a special process to treat the boar bristles prior to forming the knot. This special process helps to eliminate the traditional "boar smell" or "funk" and also softens the bristles beginning the splitting process that makes the ends super soft.  Innovation usually comes at a premium but RazoRock brings you this amazing boar bristle brush at a price that blows the competition out of the water! The Blondie is going to set a new standard for boar bristle brushes in the market and you might soon forget that other brand of Italian boar brushes.

With this brush, not only are you getting what I consider to be the best boar knot in the business but now the knot is mated to a beautiful turned olive wood handle that speaks class!

    Knot diameter: 26 mm

    Knot loft: 64 mm

Handle Material: Turned olive wood handle with nickel plated finishing ring.

    Splays a little

I like it a lot.y first board hair. I like the mild firmness. It does seem to already slay out a bit and looking a little unkempt. I am not sure if this is normal for boar, but my beaver hair brushes never do this.

    Exceptional Shaving Brush

This is a really nice brush. Soft boar bristles, no animal smell, beautifully crafted handle. In my opinion, boar brushes are the best, and this one is one of the best boar brushes!

    Exceptional

I am so pleased with this brush! I love olive wood and this one came beautifully figured. The handle is a joy to work with. The bristles are free from the typical odor associated with new boar brushes and it felt broken in the first time I used it. The knot and loft are very good with sufficient backbone for the hard tallow soaps I prefer.

I've been wet shaving a long time and have several expensive brushes. I keep going back to boar brushes. I appreciate how they keep the soap on the end of the brush rather than soak it up like badger brushes, which makes application much easier. Make sure to soak the brush before using it to preserve the bristles and enjoy better shaves.

    My favorite

I purchased this brush about two years ago, and this is my favorite of the 20 or so brushes I own, which are boar, Badger, and syntetic. The knot is fantastic for face lathering or bowl.
One broken in it's very soft, and the knot is very dense. This brush has a beautiful olive wood handle and looks much nicer in person than the pictures. The handle is also very comfortable to hold for me.

    Haven't bought but a thought

First off I have not purchased this brush but if it is what I think it is, good on RazoRock. This handle looks exactly like some of my Zeniths which makes me think that Zenith either sourced material or was commisioned by RazoRock.

Zenith makes amazing brushes at ridiculous (in a good way) prices. If this is built by Zenith I just wish it would say in the description especially since anyone that knows them knows they are a quality producer of brushes
