RazoRock Gold After Shaving Splash

I will start by saying I am not typically a cologne guy or an alcohol based splash guy, usually I prefer balms and creams for my as, but wanted to give something different a try. I was on the fence of alcohol splashes, the only one I really tried was aqua velva when I was a teenager, but that always burned and dried out my face too much. This does not! The description warns about the scent lingering and being quite strong so I went sparingly on my first use with only 4 drops, that was enough to cover my face and neck. The burn was there, but more soothing, and it faded quickly without leaving my skin too dry or tight. Scent wise I'm not great at picking out the nuances, but it does smell like a very nice cologne type scent. With only 4 drops, I notice the scent fading now about 3 hours after my shave but still smell a bit on my fingers after touching my face. Face feels baby smooth and Moisturized, which is not something I expected from an alcohol splash! This stuff is great and I think I will continue using it for the warmer months, maybe switch back to balms for winter.

The scent if a little thick and lingers for a long time.

I don't own a lot of splashes, and none of the expensive brands, so keep that in mind when deciding how much weight to give this - but this is my favourite scent of all the ones I own. And not only does it smeel great without being overpowering; the scent lasts all day.
I've been using this now for several months (rotating with my other half dozen or so) and I find that if I didn't force myself to rotate, I'd probably be reaching for this nearly every time.

I would say this aftershave isn't bad, but not super great either. Everyone has their tastes, and even though I use this, it is not one of my more favorite aftershaves thus far.

This is one of the only aftershaves my wife will voluntarily come up to me peck me on the cheek and say I smell nice. She is usually put off by most of the scents of my aftershaves. It may just be me but women in public seem extra nice to me when I'm wearing this. It's a strong scent and lasts all day and I can smell it on my pillow the next day. It may not be ok for work if people around you are sensitive. However if you work with some attractive ladies you may want to give it a try ;). The post splash feel is nice too and one of the few that does not leave me dry. Just enough oil in this to feed the skin and not make me feel oily. Great stuff.
