I’ve tried many blades for trials on how well they did. For example too aggressive, smoothness, did they cut me, forgiveness, how many uses, etc. The Gillette Silver Blue stand out from the crowd as best for me. I use RR Mamba razor and am super happy with it. With pretty good technique I can get a bbs shave No problems. I also noticed that with super close 3 pass shaves I don’t get any ingrown hairs as common with a lot of other blades. Some of the blades I tried were Astra, Nacet, Voskhod, Dorco, Feather, Personna and some others. Noting that Astra were pretty nice as well but not as good. I have definitely found my best blade with Silver Blue. What I did was just get small sample packs of 5 and go at it and see what results I got. However it took some time to accomplish but well worth the effort in the end.

Even though I bought these blades from Italian Barber after I tried a sample from somewhere else, i like these blades. I thought that Astra SP was the best until I tried these. It seemed like it was cutting right up until the limit, just stopping short of causing irritation ( I have sensitive skin). I was fearful that I would slice myself but it cut real easy and was smooth like platinum plated blades. I will give it 4 stars because I haven't reached blade nirvana to know what a 5 should be.
