  • RazoRock Stainless Steel HAWK "A" Single-Edge Razor - v3

    PROUDLY MADE IN ONTARIO, CANADA

*NOTE: If you are buying the individual parts such as the TOP CAP or one of the BASE PLATES, you will need the other matching part to make the full head. As an example, if you purchase just the TOP CAP, you will need to already have a base or you will need to purchase one in order to make a full head. We have had people that bought a BASE PLATE (or TOP CAP) thinking they were getting the full head.

The RazoRock team is proud to bring you our Gen3 Hawk, fully milled from 316L marine-grade stainless steel. The Gen3 version is offered in three different levels of aggression.

    1. Standard Hawk which is perfect for those seeking a medium aggressive shave
    2. Hawk "OC" which is a level up in aggression and offers an open comb base with widely spaced teeth to easily tackle many days of beard growth
    3. Hawk "A" which is our most aggressive Hawk design offering the largest blade gap for those seeking the most efficiency

Please use the drop-down menu under "CHOOSE YOUR  CONFIGURATION" to select which head/handle combination you want.  Both the Hawk head and the various handles are fully milled from billet and rod 316L marine-grade stainless steel. The pieces undergo a three-step, three-media mechanical polishing procedure after they are milled giving the razors a smooth tool-like finish.  Please note that our RazoRock fully milled razors are tools, not jewels and the finish is designed for function and to maintain the highest tolerances and tightest fit. The razors are not intended to be flawless.

    Head Weight: ~28 g (1 oz) (Base is 14g and Cap is 14 g)

    Handle Diameter x Length:

    1. Bulldog, 13 mm x 90 mm, ~2.8 oz weight
    2. Super Knurl, 13 mm x 90 mm, ~2.9 oz weight
    3. HD, 13 mm x 82 mm (14 mm Butt End), ~2.6 oz weight
    4. UFO, 13 mm x 85 mm, ~2.3 oz weight
    5. Barber Pole, 12 mm x 85 mm (Approx. 14 mm Butt End), ~2.6 oz weight
    6. Titanium Halo, 13 mm x 100 mm, ~1.7 oz weight

*If you have never shaved with a SE razor before, I urge you to start slowly and not to apply excessive pressure with the razor. The SE blades are thicker, sharper and more rigid than a double-edge blade and they require a bit of a learning curve. Use the razor for 12-15 shaves in a row before judging whether you like SE shaving or not. If you want to begin with training wheels, consider starting with the FEATHER Pro Guard Blade.

**When screwing on the handle with a blade inserted, I strongly urge you to hold the razor head inside a thick towel just in case it slips. BLADES ARE SHARP, so take great care when changing the blade in your razor!

Finish: Please note, these razors are tools, not jewels. We use a vibratory tumbling finish process which maintains the highest possible tolerances for the razors. This means the razors will not be mirror finished and will not be mark-free. The razors may have some milling marks or finishing marks. The razors can always be jewelry polished by the client later but our goal is to sell the razor at the best possible tolerances and lowest possible price. The metal-on-metal contact from the handle locking against the base-plate will create a ring mark on the base. It's common for handles to have micro dents from the tumbled finish.

    Recommended Blades:

    • FEATHER Professional Blade  (aka Artist Club Professional)
    • FEATHER Pro Guard Blade (aka Artist Club Pro Guard)
    • FEATHER Super Pro (these will add a lot more blade exposure, so be aware!)
    • KAI Captain Titan Mild (aka KAI Pinks)
    • KAI Captain Titan Mild Protouch MG Blade (guarded blade)
    • SCHICK Proline (we personally haven't tested these but our clients tell us they fit perfectly)

***The RazoRock Hawk razors do NOT come with blades, all blades are purchased separately.

FEATHER Professional Super Blades will also work but make the razor very aggressive and I would not recommend them. FEATHER Professional LIGHT blades will not work in the Hawk.

    Fantastic razor!

I would not call the hawk V3 A an aggressive razor at all. It is however extremely efficient. It's a nice upgrade from the V2 hawk, nice and heavy with almost no blade feel. I was a expecting more of an aggressive shave, but with how well it performed I can't really complain. Shaved off a weeks worth of stubble with one pass. Probably the smoothest shave I've had yet!

Quality.. of course.. most aggressive?? Mmmm nope.

So of course.. yes I love the a plate. I also have had the oc plate for a couple years now. I used these arm for arm and split the chest/stomach down the middle. I shave each arm and side with a given razor, and then felt for smoothness, checked for missed hair, and just overall feel of “aggression” (aggression is blade feel, efficency is how easily it can get rid of hair) and it’s a big difference, being how the oc is open comb, it just had the vastly superior aggression feel, and ease of removal. The a plate though, was very smooth and yes.. very efficient (oh all hair was 1 weeks growth, so between the dense thick chest hair and the more frail yet longer arm hair, I was able to sort of stretch these out). I can’t feel a difference rubbing to feel closeness (I used a feather pro super for the test of course lol) so I feel like it’s going to come down to smoothness vs wanting a aggressive feel that will also be a better 2 week growth razor. Do I recommend this if you have the oc plate? No. I’d stick with the base level plate or the oc, but if you want to have the best of both worlds, then yes the a plate is worth it…

Just want to reiterate how smooth the a plate was vs the oc.. it was sooooo smooth. I also picked up the new game changer 1.05, and did a review on it.. nice razor for sure.
