  • In late 2014, we found two wonderful tobacco fragrance oils. We couldn't decide which fragrance to use so we had a RazoRock "Tobacco Challenge". We wanted our loyal RazoRock clients to decide which fragrance they preferred. After a few months of emails, it was clear which fragrance was the resounding winner and now this fragrance is the signature scent of our RazoRock Puros Shaving Cream Soap.  The scent is carefully mixed into our popular RazoRock tallow soap base, which is all natural and hand made using an ancient Italian soap making recipe that's been passed on through four generations.

    The core notes to this scent are tobacco, musk, leather, vanilla, tonka bean and a little hay in the background. If you are a fan of musky tobacco scents, I think you'll love this one.

    Ingredients: Aqua, Stearic Acid, Coconut Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Tallow Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum

    Tips: RazoRock Italian shaving soaps are formulated to be used with a traditional shaving brush. If you haven't used a brush before, I highly recommend one of the RazoRock Plissoft brushes, their quality and value is second to none. To use this shaving soap, simply swirl a wet shaving brush on top of the soap for 30-40 seconds, then you can either complete the lather right on your face or in a lathering bowl, add droplets of water to the lather until you reach your desired consistency. Less water will make for a thicker and pastier lather, more water will make a slicker and thinner lather. Make sure to let the soap fully dry before covering it again with the lid. If you are using the soap daily, there is no need to cover it.

    Lather is great and the scent is excellent.

    The Search is over

    I have been on a search for a good soap or cream to use with a straight razor with a tobacco scent. It seems other companies think tobacco scent means vanilla mixed with lemonade, orange peel, stinky gym clothes, peppermint, fresh cow patties, dirt, pretty much everything except a straight tobacco scent.

    Friends, the search is over. After trying eight products alleging they were tobacco scented and failing miserably, Puros is the answer to the search.

    This smells rich, full, and smooth - like good cigar tobacco! There are no other scents jumping out as distractions.

    The actual performance is fantastic. It works best on the wet side. I start by wetting the brush, loading up, then add water a bit at a time as needed.

    Also, this product rinses out of the brush easily and leaves a clean feel on the face.

    Definitely recommend. Well done RazoRock! 😊👍

    One of my favorites

    This is the most masculine of all the scents i have. I originally tried it because i like the aroma of tobacco and I thought this would be it. It is not. At first I was disappointed, but then I began to really appreciate its unique aroma. I think it is a combination of leather and horse sweat. Nothing delicate here but addictive to me.

    Lathers well and easily. Scent is pleasant. I only get the tobacco though and none of the other listed notes. Scent strength is medium, kind of a sweet spot that should satisfy most people.

    Where it falls short for me is with respect to slickness and post shave feel. I have RR Tuscan Oud that advertises a new formula with aloe and shea. I dont think this is marketing, there is improvement that is real. I also find that the fragrance burns my face very slightly - nitpicking there.

    Smells like a tack room.

    I like it but it took a little getting used to. The aroma that is. Sort of like horse sweat and leather. Lathers nicely and the aroma grows on me.
