    In 17th century Venice, Plague doctors wore a beaked mask filled with sweet smells such as dried flowers, herbs and spices.  They believed the plague was spread by a noxious form of bad air and that their special fragrant blend would protect them.  On a recent trip to Italy, we were given "the recipe" which was supposedly used by these Plague doctors.  We can't confirm that it'll safeguard you from any future plagues but it sure smells divine.  We have recreated the Plague doctor's fragrance and now offer it in our Italian shaving soap and after shaving splash.

    Size: 150ml (5 oz)

    Scent: From 17th century Venice, white musk, herbs & spices

    Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Water(Eau), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Potassium, Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Hydrogenated Lanolin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea)Butter Fragrance(Parfum).

    faint urine scent

    I agree with the other reviewers that the scents is subtle and you really need to dig your nose into the container in order to smell it and that the soap performs well. I don't know what musk smells like, but maybe musk is similar to urine. I just looked it up and there is a connection. Anyway, the smell is faint, to begin with, and I assume, over time, it will grow even fainter. There may be ways to hasten the process of making the soaps lose their scent. I won't throw it away.

    Mysteriously dimensional

    Very dimensional aroma which lingers a while and then softens to a masculine powdery aroma. Luxurious lather that is very slick and holds a lot of moisture on my skin. Allows the razor blade to glide smoothly over my skin. Very impressed and would recommend this product.

    Solid performer with a GREAT scent

    I first ran across this soap on amazon and purchased it purely on a lark given the current pandemic. It just seemed appropriate. At first the scent seemed a little weak, like others have commented this is not the typical Razorock scent bomb I am accustomed to with some of their other scents. However, once you catch the scent it is intoxicating. The herbal/floral bite of Peony layered with softer vanilla, white tea and just a hint of musk is just awesome. After a few months of use this is now one of my favorites and I actually seek it out to make sure to have a reserve on hand should it go out of production. In retrospect if it were scented any stronger it would be too much. Kudos on an awesome well balanced soap. The matching aftershave is also top notch, but a bit more vanilla forward than the soap.
