  • Proraso Pre & Post Cream - Green Tea and Oat - For Sensitive Skin - NEW JAR

The history of Proraso products dates back a long way. In 1908, Ludovico Martelli from Florence, Italy founded a cosmetics company under his own name. Then in 1948, his son Piero joined the company and helped launch the Proraso “crema miracolosa” to the Italian public. This eucalyptus oil based “miracle cream” could be used both before shaving to soften and prepare the beard, or after shaving to heal and calm irritation. Millions of “vasi” (glass jars) have been sold to three generations of satisfied Italian men and although many people know Proraso for their wonderful Shaving creams, Aftershave lotions and balms, it was the Pre & Post Cream that catapulted the company to the immense success they enjoy today. The Proraso Pre & Post formula will offer your skin a wonderful cooling sensation but more importantly it will make your shave more enjoyable by providing lubrication and cushion that prevents cuts and helps to achieve that “baby butt” smooth shave. Highly recommended!

Size: 100ml in a glass jar.

    Made in Florence, Italy.

Note: This is Italian product sourced from Italy so the packaging may differ from the Proraso typically found in North America.

    A Great Pre- and After-Shave

I put a little of this on wrm wet wash cloth and wsh my face prior to shaving. I have alo tried the method where you leve it on the face before applying shave soap, but find tht this kills the lather a bit. After shaving, you can apply a thin layr to the skin for a dine after-shave balm.

    Excellent both pre and post.

Usually the only way I get a "comfortable" shave is to shower first. We all know that isn't always possible. I tried different razors and various high-quality blades, leisurely washed my face with pre soap to hydrate, did everything you're "supposed to," and it was always the same. Tough whiskers, unsatisfactory first pass, almost hating to shave without a shower.
I had been using this as a post shave, and it is amazing. Soothing, cooling, five stars.
So it occured to me that Proraso pre-post is what started it all for Proraso, and I finally used some for a preshave. What a difference! Noticeably softer whiskers and better cutting action. I'm naturally skeptical of "hype" (which honestly Proraso doesn't do) but first-hand experience is proof. This stuff works. You can use it both pre and post and it is excellent for both. Forget oils, this is way more manageable.
    Highly recommended.

    Terrific pre-shave!

I have used Proraso products for some time but I hadn't tried their pre-shave cream (usually used a pre-shave gel). I purchased this along with the Green and Red versions and I can say I am truly impressed. Although it doesn't go on like the gels, this really gets into the hairs and helps soften them. They recommend you put it on and wait a couple of minutes to soak in before you lather. Once it soaks in I use a scuttle and Silver Tip Badger brush (Razorock 24 from Italian Barber!) and lather up using Proraso shave cream (the same color as the pre-shave). I alternate colors and love each one.

If you are looking for a terrific pre-shave that won't break the bank, Proraso is the one for you!

    enjoyable, but deceptively expensive

I just started using this product and I really like it. But, I burn through it pretty fast, what with shaving my head. So, it works out to a lot more money than just using shaving cream, alone. It's 100 mils, , but it's full of a lot of air. Still, it is the first Proraso product I've tried that I actually liked. So, beware if you start using it and grow to like it so much that you think you can't live without it, anymore. So, now I set it aside and restrain myself from using it, because I don't want to be compelled to use it. I'm trying to think of a way to describe it like an addiction, even though it is not an addiction.

I was expecting this one to have no menthol, but it does have some menthol. I think just less menthol than the Proraso Green pre-shave cream. So, you can still feel it.

    Classic Italian shave

The first products I bought were the proraso white jar, this is it the most classic but modern scent and performance is exceptional, if you are just starting out,or on a budget, maybe don't need to buy but one line, keep it simple, this is essential and it
    will provide consistent results.
