  • (SPECIAL EDITION) RazoRock 400 Synthetic Shaving Brush - Silver Handle With NOIR Plissoft

The RazoRock 400 is a brush we've been wanting to make for a long time; one of my all-time favorite handle designs, super comfortable in the hand and great for loading soaps from deeper mugs and bowls.

After we released our 400 butterscotch resin brush, we received dozens upon dozens of emails asking us to re-create the vintage aluminum handle version. When our clients ask, we deliver! Not only did we make the handle in silver aluminum, we are also offering it in matte black and glossy black anodize finish. To make this version different and exciting from the butterscotch 400, we used our now famous Plissoft knot so owners of the butterscotch can get a classic 400 with a different feel.  We have had many requests for the NOIR plissoft knot with the SILVER handle so we decided to run a Special Edition and it's available now!

24 mm x 57 mm NOIR Plissoft Synthetic Knot

Vintage style handle inspired by the Rubberset 400

Handle Material: Solid Aluminum with Silver Anodize finish

    Weight: ~127 grams (4.5oz)

    Handle Height: ~80 mm

***Note: This brush does NOT fit on the RazoRock Universal Brush stand***

Hello, I would like to say this about the new shaving brush I have. I bought it with the intention of taking the knot out and replacing it with a, high end Badger knot. I really like the handle, that was my original idea. But i figured I would just try it with the knot that came with it. I think I like this knot as much as a nice Badger brush. It’s my new favourite brush. I was not expecting that. 🥳

    Nice weight and size

Having large hands, the brush feels great and I can still put it between my index and middle finger, to do the "door knocking" motions I like to make my lathers. The handle works extremely well for bowl lather shavers and mug users as well. The knot has a good backbone and releases the lather perfectly for the face or head shave. You won't regret getting one and having it in your shave rotation.

I previously gave this brush only 3 stars, saying the handle is beautiful but the knot is unsubstantial (i.e. too soft), but that evaluation was premature. After further use, I realized the knot only seems unsubstantial if I make the lather too wet. When I create a yogurt-like lather, which most of us prefer, the knot performs beautifully.

I do have better brushes, but not at this price point. And of the 20-some synthetics in my den, this brush has become 1 of 3 in my regular rotation (along with a few boars and badgers). For reference, the other 2 synths in rotation are a Muhle STF and a Frank Shaving G7.

    Beautiful handle, insubstantial knot

I love the handle on this brush. It's esthetically pleasing and feels great in the hand. The knot, on the other hand, seems to have very little backbone. The tips are soft and that's good, but I prefer a stiffer knot. If you're really into soft brushes, you may very well like this brush. It's just not my preference.
