    Really good

This product worked really well. I did nick myself and was able to use this for the first time.

Unless you are used to it, you will want your face really, really wet (YMMV). For me, I used it the first time and I did not do this. There was a little burning. The second time, I liberally soaked my face, and it was better. Still a little, but not as much or strong.

I have to use an alum block post shave or I'll rash up and break out, for reals. I've used this block for about 6 months and it still looks fairly new. It gives good feedback, closes any niks, and keeps me from red rashes and pimple farming for sure. This is some good stuff!

    Can't beat Osma

Osma is the only alum block I'll use. I can't make any comments on the chemical composition of alum from different manufacturers, but the finish of the blocks themselves is what truly sets Osma apart. Other alum blocks I've tried tend to develop small abrasions on the surface that irritate my skin; I've used Osma blocks down to slivers and never experienced this problem. Definitely worth spending the extra couple of bucks.
